One of the ways that you can choose to donate to TOLFA, is by a sponsoring a kennel for a year. On average during a year, each of our kennels is a temporary home to 21 different dogs that have been rescued by our ambulance and admitted to our TOLFA Animal Hospital.
Some of the reasons for admission include injury and fractures after an accident, maggot infested wounds, mange, tumours and viral infections. During the time that the dog is provided with medical treatment by our veterinary team and love and care from our nurturing team, the kennel provides a safe space for them to recover. The average stay for each dog that is admitted is about 17 days.
Your donation will help to cover all of the staff care, cleaning, food and medicine costs of the dogs that reside in that kennel during the year of your sponsorship.
Please click on the button below which will take you through to our donation page. Here you can fill out all of your details and make your donation. Within a few days we will email you with a list of kennels that are available for sponsorship and also request what wording you would like on the plaque that will be displayed on the kennel that you sponsor.
Once the plaque is ready, we will then send you a photo, along with the dog that is currently resident in your kennel.
As part of our gratitude for you sponsoring one of our kennels, TOLFA will send you three updates in a year so that you can see how your donation is being put to work. These updates are a photo and some background about the dog that is currently residing in your sponsored kennel.
Yes you can and we would definitely encourage you to continue your sponsorship for as long as you are able. Recurring donations provide our charity with financial security and enable us to better plan for our future. We will send you a reminder just before your kennel sponsorship is due to expire.
Yes you can and we think that a kennel sponsorship makes a lovely gift for any dog lover. Please when we contact you with the list of kennels for sponsorship, stipulate to us that this kennel is a gift for someone else and provide us with their contact details. The choice of wording for the plaque can be decided by either you or the person that the kennel sponsorship has been gifted to and all the 3 yearly updates will be sent to them.
