The Tree of Life for Animals (TOLFA) is an organisation that is passionate about the welfare and medical needs of India’s street animal population. We are an award winning registered charitable trust, recognised by the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and a member of the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO).
Founded in 2005, the branches of our Tree of Life have been reaching out and have already provided lifesaving services to more than a quarter of a million animals. Our current operations run from 2 bases – a veterinary hospital and shelter located in a small village between Ajmer and Pushkar and a dispensary based in Ajmer city.
Learn about what drives us forward. Our vision, our mission, our objectives and our values. We are a registered charitable trust run by a Board of Trustees and are 12A / 80G registered.
Find out how a British veterinary nurse visited Ajmer, witnessed the animal atrocities happening there and decided never to leave.
With people’s empowerment at its heart, TOLFA wouldn’t be anything without our amazing and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to look after the animals in their care.
Since 2005, TOLFA has transformed a barren piece of desert land into a thriving veterinary hospital and shelter for street animals.
